The Sunset After the Storm
While writing out on my balcony at the Makai, I managed to catch one of the most beautiful sunsets I've ever seen.
Sunsets are one of those events that happen once a day but rarely do people stop and appreciate them. Our small planet, slowly drifting through the outer ends of our galaxy, while orbiting around a fairly small sun, still manages to aid in producing such an astonishing, amazing thing to witness. I read somewhere that beauty is the only thing that is inherent in nature; things are made beautiful for a reason - it's why everything works. A baby is cute to make people want to attend to it; a flower is colored just so to bring insects for pollination.
I guess sunsets aren't fowl and offensive for a reason. Maybe they're there as reminder or a commemoration. Or maybe they're just beautiful for the sake of beauty.
