At the heart of Historic Stevensville, MD lies a family bakery known as Peace of Cake. Their green shop with yellow trim was more than enough to say "personality," and we felt invited to enter. Stepping in, we were immediately enveloped by the sweet scent of fresh doughs and pastries.

As it turned out, we discovered Peace of Cake has acquired some renown during its nine years of operation. What's Up Eastern Shore magazine named them Best Bakery for 2008, 2009, and 2010. That's quite a track record, and well-deserved. Our taste-test verified it. Spectacular pastries. Aside from the bake-shop, they do custom orders of all kinds, especially wedding cakes and other kinds of parties. They even do hand-drawn edible decals for their cakes; no computer drafting involved.
