BEER by Stewart’s

The suspension you're seeing in this beer is characteristic of a Black and Tan at Stewart's. The golden ale at the bottom is not fully fermented, having more viscosity than the dark stout which has more alcohol and floats on top. Served with frothing pride, this is one of the many beers made at Stewart's Brewing Co., another brew-pub along Delaware's famous Wine & Ale Trail.

Did we say many beers? Yes, many many beers. They had so many on their taste-test list, they had to place the samples on two separate charts; one for their regular brews, and one for their seasonals. Irish Red, Governor's Golden, Raspberry Wheat and even Apricot Wheat were all a part of the Stuart's family, making it easy for anybody to change up the distilled merriment.

If you like a Coffee Porter, this is the place to get it. Most brewers make theirs with a coffee extract, but not here. Stewart's Coffee Porter contains 3% of actual brewed coffee, made strong, with a caffeine kick to prove it. Here's a roast beer darker than a black eye, while still smooth as silk.

Jim is just getting started. Don't worry, we helped him finish all of that.

Food, as you all know, can't be left to the wayside at a brew pub; otherwise, it's just another bar. Stewart's cares a lot about providing great-tasting food, while making it look pretty.

Adding the finishing touches to an already great brewery is bartender/manager Shawn, who's full of personality and hospitality. Hey, what's not to like about someone who brings you your beer? Thanks again, DE Wine & Ale Trail, you have served us well.
