With over 400 different bird species on the peninsula, its no wonder that Delmarva is a destination for bird enthusiasts from around the country and sometimes the world.

Friday we meandered to the seemingly bird capital of the peninsula at the Ward Museum in Salisbury, Maryland for the opening of the Catching a Glimpse exhibit. The display depicts the evolution of bird art and its relationship to the ever-growing phenomenon of birding in the United States and around the world. Pieces range from paintings to carvings to decoys.
