APPLICATION & ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS
Online applications to fill Host Our Coast will open on March 14, 2011. The partnership that created Host Our Coast cares about the authentic, local travel experiences that make Delmarva interesting & different from any other place. Tourism in our area is typically promoted as if the ocean and beach - and maybe golf - are the only things we have to offer to travelers. While we appreciate our beaches and golf courses, we also know that true travelers seek out the authentic. They want to eat the local's food, hear the local stories, and hang out where the locals do.
So, send us a 60-second video which tells us a very short story about your favorite authentic, local place. If you are traveling now, tell us a story from where you are - RIGHT NOW. Be the Host of the city, town, park, restaurant, bar, or museum that's just around the corner from you. Talk to the local people (we like characters!). Explore by foot, boat, bike, kayak, or paddleboard. Show us why you are the right person to Host Our Coast in 2011!
You must upload the video to YouTube, and paste the URL into the online application. You will also have to complete a short online application, and submit a headshot, brief bio, and a sample travel blog entry.
All applicants must be 21 years of age or over as of May 26, 2011, have a valid U.S. driver's license and a good driving record, and be eligible for a visa (if necessary). Applicants must be in good physical and mental health.

All applicants will receive email notification from DLITE upon receipt of the application and video.
Applicants are encouraged to have others view their online video application on YouTube. The number of views for the video will be a factor, but is not the sole determinant, in selecting the winner.
During the two weeks of April 23 - May 7, 2011, online voting for video submissions will take place at www.hostourcoast.com. The number of votes for the video will be a factor, but is not the sole determinant, in selecting the winner.
