Amazing job in showing people a cool place to go in their city, which they likely didn't even know about. I think it's really cool that you used a fun song from a local band as well. The videography was great. You made it interesting by bringing a friend and your dog, and it was fun that you interviewed local people enjoying the site.

Posted By John | 4/13/10 10:04 AM
Hard to listen to....poor sound quality?
Posted By Janne | 4/13/10 10:20 AM
Is that your real voice or was that like, a joke voice you were trying out for this gig?
Posted By | 4/13/10 12:11 PM
Too bad your competition feels the need to go negative. Love the local band and the music fits the video perfectly. Your video is by far the liveliest. good luck.
Posted By Gillian | 4/13/10 1:02 PM
Would have liked it more if it was shorter, maybe 2 minutes.
Posted By Laura | 4/13/10 1:05 PM
But I seriously didn't know that park existed and I spent YEARS in the Philly suburbs. Thanks for shedding light on it! Sounds like a really cool place to visit! And so close to the city!! Nice work!

Posted By | 4/13/10 11:51 PM
I wasn't feelin it. There just wasn't much personality coming through. The location was awesome and everything, but it's the host that matters in this competition, and I wasn't sold.
Posted By r | 4/14/10 11:48 AM
I loved it!! I think Karen is really down to earth, and prompted the people in the park to open up and feel comfortable. I think there's nothing more important than that in a good host.
Posted By Marina | 4/14/10 12:02 PM
put simply--fantastic. would love to see what the rest of the coast looks like through Karen's eyes!

Of course this is the right job for you! Your video is by far the most engaging. Well done!
Posted By | 4/15/10 6:40 PM
lovin' it. can't wait to see what treasures you can find along the coast :-)
Posted By ec | 4/15/10 9:03 PM
You seem like a really nice, down to earth young woman, but maybe a bit too low key to do the hosting job. I found the video end of it to be good, but the hosting part of it to be a bit dry. I'm also sorry to say I didn't care for your speaking quality that much. But I did enjoy the visuals.
Posted By | 4/15/10 11:34 PM
I think you'll do an amazing job--great video!
Posted By Nifer | 4/16/10 9:25 AM
First of all, technically this was by far the best video. Faces aren't filmed in shadows which i saw in a lot of other videos. Many of the other videos stuck to commonly known "hot spots" or well known tourist attractions but she chose a location "off the beaten trail" which I never knew about even when I lived in Philadelphia (which has me kicking myself). I think if we want someone to explore more than just the local hotspots we want Karen. Tell her to speak a little more slowly though!.
Posted By Holly Wright | 4/16/10 6:00 PM
I agree with Holly! Karen found a hidden gem and really polished it up to show everyone ... and she got local people to explain what they like about it. Well done.
Posted By | 4/16/10 7:01 PM
You are doing GREAT!!!
Posted By kaitlyn | 4/16/10 7:32 PM
this is my favorite video ... some others have good camera work, but this one tells the best story about an out-of-the-way place we haven't seen a million times. I like the originality.
Posted By | 4/17/10 4:47 PM
The interview is wonderful - it shows you are interested in people of all ages -- I like your way with people.
Posted By | 4/17/10 5:17 PM
Agree - very original. I would definitely watch more videos by Karen
Posted By | 4/17/10 5:38 PM
Terrible point Holly. The faces may not be in the shade but are blurry throughout. Not to mention she shows in no way how she will be best for the job- does she ever even hold the camera? In addition, holding a lavalier mic out while interviewing people is unprofessional. I think it's a good video but not flawless or technically superior.
Posted By | 4/17/10 9:13 PM
Your video was PERFECT!!!
